Another day brings more chaos. Your friendship with Yoongi is strengthening, but he is still Min Yoongi, right?
That's why you were back to arguing during a zombie-killing mission. You can see he is more experienced than you. His fighting skills are advanced.
"Yoongi! Don't go too close!!"
"You don't have to lecture me all the time!!"
"Will you listen for once?!"
"Why will I?"
"I hate you, seriously."
"The feeling is mutual."
"(Y/N) watch out!"
You barely dodged a zombie. When you looked up you knew you were done for. Both of you were surrounded by zombies and they were coming closer, leaving no place for you to move.
Yoongi was the same. He was barely dodging the attacks. His injured body prevented him from making any risky moves.
At some point, you gave up and so did Yoongi. Both of you thought that "We are going to die."
But fortune was on your side because all of a sudden there were gunshots and all the zombies fell to your feet.
"Guys!! Come on run!!" You heard a guy with a gun yell. You were baffled but there was no time to waste. You grabbed Yoongi's hand and ran. From the corner of your eye, you saw the guy who saved you earlier was also running behind you and Yoongi.
You didn't know how long it took for you guys to reach the hideout. When you entered the abandoned building the sun was already setting.
"That was...close." Yoongi collapsed to the ground.
"I thought we were going to die..." You sat down beside him. That's when you noticed the other guy. Did he follow you here? He looked worn out as well.
You didn't even know you were staring at him before he pointed it out "What? Is there something on my face?"
You blinked and then the realization hit you like a ton of bricks. He caught you staring at him. Good lord what a great start.
"Ummm no no it's nothing like that. What's your name?" You coughed awkwardly but he didn't mind at all!
"Oh! How rude of me!! My name is Jung Hoseok and you guys are?'
His personality caught you off guard. He was so bubbly and his smile was brighter than the sun itself. How come he still got a personality like that after living in a world of zombies? You wanted to ask that and judging by Yoongi's expression he wanted to do nothing with Hoseok. He probably thought that Hoseok is a nuisance. But you found yourself smiling
"Nice to meet you Hoseok. I am (Y/N)!!"
"Min Yoongi..." He grumbled. Well, too bad for him because you are already liking Hoseok's presence.
"Hoseok-ssi thank you for saving our lives." You walked up to him and he laughed"Gosh don't worry about that. We can be friends right?"
"What?" Yoongi was already hating the presence of another human. He still wasn't completely used to you and now Hoseok? He can never put up with Hoseok's personality.
"Of course, we can be friends!!" You were already bouncing. You were so happy to see another human and thankfully he is not so closed off as Yoongi. You felt like finally, you can share things with someone even though you just met him. His aura is so bright. His big-brown warm eyes made you feel fuzzy inside. You were smiling too much and it was bugging Yoongi to no end. He still didn't trust Hoseok even though he is the one who saved both of you. In his opinion, Hoseok is a troublemaker. Well, he can think whatever he wants to think because you won't let Hoseok go. He is going to stay with you whether Yoongi likes it or not. In this dead world, it's too hard to survive, let alone humans. When was the last time you saw people? 3 years ago? Good lord, you don't remember that. There's always a chance of you ending up dead. That's exactly why you wanted to keep living normally. It wasn't possible but you liked to pretend like nothing is wrong. That's silly, you knew. But constantly living in fear is worse. You were playing with fire and the others were also walking on thin ice. It might break anytime but before it breaks you want to be happy. Truly once, at least. You guys don't know if the world will go back to being normal. It was like a curse and you wanted to break it. It can't be the end, not this soon. Just because of some crazy experiment the world can't end like that. You refused to believe that there's no hope. People say there's always a way out, right? You will find the way. No matter how long it takes you won't go down this easily without a fight. You won't accept defeat. Nothing is impossible. You still got friends by your side after all. There's still hope, still life. As long as there's life everything will be fine. You just have to keep going. Not today, not tomorrow but one day everything will be normal again. Time will flow again. No one can destroy it this easily. They are humans too. Since the virus exits then a cure definitely exists. You just have to find it. You WILL find it. No matter how many problems you face, it won't stop you from reaching your goal. What if there are other humans like you there? What if they are clinging to life so desperately like you? They are hoping to get saved, right? They didn't lose hope. Hoseok is here. Yoongi may not show it but he is there too. As the moon showed up on the tranquil night sky you had only one thought in your mind "No matter what, we will save the world."
